CPR should be given to the patient immediately after heart attack. CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The patient’s life can be easily saved through CPR. That means this is a kind of first aid. By giving CPR to the patient, the supply of blood and oxygen starts again in the entire body. If a patient’s breathing stops, CPR should be given to him without wasting time. This can save his life.

According to an American research published in BMJ, if ‘Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation’ (CPR) is given one minute after ‘cardiac arrest’. So the chances of survival increases by 22 percent. Whereas if you give CPR after 39 minutes, the chance of survival becomes less than 1 percent.  The chance of leaving the hospital without major brain damage drops from 15% after one minute of CPR to less than 1% after 32 minutes without a heartbeat. How to give CPR?

Make the person lie down on the ground immediately after a heart attack. After that, join the palms of both the hands together and press them hard on the chest.
